I attended the WAAAS swap meet at Cannington Exhibition Centre on Sunday 16th June 2019. It was my first visit to their swap meet and was very impressed with both the turnout and memorabilia on sale. Here are a couple of photos.
The hall was quite crowded. I was surprised to see such a good turnout to what I assumed was a fairly niche interest.
I'm particularly interested in hats and helmets.
$880 for a First World War German soldier's cap.
World War Two German Luftwaffe visor cap
Imperial dress helmet with metal case.
More helmets and assorted gear.
German First World War picklehelm.
Mainly Eastern Bloc gas masks. I have a couple of these already.
The next WAAAS event is the big annual historic arms and militaria fair on 14th & 15th September 2019. This is a two day event which includes a display of military vehicles and historical reenactors as well as swap meet / stallholders. Details can be found here:
